Review of NERO: Welcome Reality

Here’s our review of our pick for November 2021: Welcome Reality, by electronic musicians Dan Stephens, Joe Ray, and Alana Watson, better known as NERO. This album, released in 2011, was the first for the group, and it propelled them to tremendous heights in the EDM, Dubstep, and Drum n’ Bass scene. Have a listen to to our conversation to find out what we thought of Welcome Reality.

A few things you will find out in this episode are:

• This is a concept album, speculating about life in the year 2808.

• Despite all the futurism, there is a clear and present 80s influence.

• This album sounds like it belongs in a soundtrack to a film or video game.

• This may just be the longest album we’ve reviewed to date
